A simple mod amazes with an unmistakable Matrix look. This is how a modern game to The Matrix could look like.
Fans of The Matrix who also happen to be PC gamers must be strong these days. First they were left out of the first quasi-playable Matrix experience in Unreal Engine 5, which can now be played on a PC even without specialist knowledge.
And the eagerly awaited fourth Matrix film also left many good chances on the simulated road, as Vali explains to you in his film review:

How Cyberpunk 2077 looks with Matrix mod
The modification only changes one small thing: the colour tone of the image. The result is impressive, however, because the cold green tint creates an unmistakable Matrix ambience in Night City.
It’s curious how much of the cold matrix look depends on the choice of colour filter. The mod provides filters in four different strength levels, each shifting the hue of Cyberpunk 2077 more lightly or more heavily into the green-grey.
And the Matrix style actually fits the dystopian cyberpunk universe very well! Here you can see the differences clearly:
This is how you install the mod
Have you got the desire to experience your Cyberpunk 2077 like the Matrix? The mod is available on Nexusmods and is relatively easy to install.
We recommend using the mod manager (Vortex) from Nexusmods. Then you simply select Cyberpunk 2077 in the manager as the game to be edited and with a few clicks on the (Nexusmods website) the mod can be installed automatically.
Alternatively, you can install the Matrix mod manually. How? We’ll explain it to you step by step:
- First install the tool (ReShade) in the directory\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64 on your hard drive. It is an injector that could falsely alert your antivirus program.
- Download the file package Matrix Color Grading Reshade on (Nexusmods) and copy the files to \Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64 as well.
- Start Cyberpunk 2077 and press Pos1 on your keyboard to get to the mod configuration.
- Here you can assign the on/off switch for the matrix reshade to any key.
