The next Season in Diablo 3 is about to start. We already know what it’s all about this time and give a prediction about the start of the new season.

Diablo 3 remains active and alive. The action role-playing game will soon even enter its 26th season. As usual, Blizzard is testing all changes on a test server first. In the meantime, the concrete contents (announced) that are currently planned for Season 26 have also been announced.

In this article you will get all the latest information about the new season and the changes of patch 2.7.3. The article will be updated regularly. So whenever we have new information.

Start times: When do we start?

When does Season 25 end?

At the moment, Diablo 3 is still running Season 25. Of course, this season has to come to an end before the next season can even start. So far, Blizzard has not made it official when Season 25 will end. But since the seasons follow a fixed framework, we can already predict the possible end.

The newer seasons of Diablo 3 always last about 4 months. Sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. Above all, a season always ends on a Sunday. Season 25 started on 10 December, so possible end dates would be:

Diablo 3 Season 25: Start times, season theme, patch notes – All info

  • 3 April 2022
  • 10 April 2022
  • When does Season 26 start?

Since there is no known end for Season 25, there is also no official date for the start of Season 26. However, we can also estimate very well from the previous seasons when it will probably start.

For example, there are always about one or two weeks between the end of one season and the start of the next. In addition, Diablo 3 seasons always start on a Friday. So we expect the following start days:

  • 16 April 2022
  • 23 April 2022
  • 30 April 2022

The seasons also normally always start at exactly 17:00.

Season 26 on the test server

Those who want to participate in the development of Season 26 can try out the new patch and the new season theme on the test server quite soon. Patch 2.7.3 will be available on the PTR from 10 March 2022. Remember that you will need to download the PTR version of Diablo 3 individually from Battle.net. To do so, simply open the drop-down menu in the Diablo 3 screen, which is located directly above the play button, and select PTR: Diablo 3.

The trial period lasts exactly two weeks.

Saison theme: Echoing Nightmare

The new season theme is called Echoing Nightmare and is something very special. This is because it is a new end-game challenge. The activity takes your seasonal heroes into the memory of a fallen Nephalem.

Like the Nephalem, you must then stand alone or with friends against hordes of monsters and try to survive as long as possible. The waves of monsters become increasingly difficult and if you flatten many enemies quickly, you will advance to the next level faster.

The longer you last, the better the rewards. You can earn experience points, legendary items, blood shards, gems and a new legendary gem called Whisper of Atonement.

How to get to the memory
:

  • You must defeat one of the guardians in a large Nephalem portal
  • The guardian drops an item called Petrified Scream.
  • You can transmute this item into Kanai’s Cube, opening a portal to Nightmare.
  • Only one character in your party needs to possess this item at a time.
It remains completely unclear which items will appear in Season 26 and which sets will be given away.

Changes to the Great Nephalem Portals

With patch 2.7.3, the developers at Blizzard are also tackling the Great Nephale Portals. Changes will be made here that will remain even after the end of the Season. The exact details may still change a little depending on feedback from the test phase. But there is already a rough timetable.

  • The three maps Field of Misery, Desolate Sand and Briarthorn Cemetery will be added to the pool.
  • The cards Sewers of Caldeum and Hidden Aqueducts will be removed.
  • The probability of several cards has been adjusted.
  • Adjusted the probability of different monster group.
  • Some monsters now give more experience points.
  • Players can talk to Orek to close a Great Nephalem Portal.
