At Blizzcon, Blizzard revealed the first information about the upcoming addon for Diablo 4. And also gave a preview of what will soon be changing
As expected, a lot was revealed at Blizzcon about the future of Diablo 4. The highlight was undoubtedly the setting and name of the first add-on for Diablo 4, Vessel of Hatred Release will be sometime at the end of 2024
Off into the jungle
The first expansion will lead all heroines and warriors into a hate-infested jungle realm. This and much more had already been hinted at in advance by a leak. It was almost right about the title, according to which the addon was supposed to be called Lord of Hatred.
New class: On top of that, the addon will of course also have a new class. But Blizzard has not revealed any details about this. However, it is said to be brand new and never before seen in a Diablo title.
It won’t be until summer 2024 that they want to reveal more details about all aspects of the expansion. So it’s still quite a while and several seasons away. So we’ll have to be patient
Caution: The leak may have almost hit the mark with the title, but all information from it should still be read with great caution. Because even if they were correct at some point, this is no longer necessarily the current state of affairs.
The near future
Although there is still quite a long wait for the addon, Diablo 4 will still change a lot this year during the second season
Malignant Rings: Starting November 6th, each class will receive a unique ring. Their properties will be based on special effects from the first season
Enchanting preview: You will soon be able to see what new prefixes you can expect when you entrust the Occultist with the items you have obtained. From December 5, this could save you a lot of unnecessary expenditure, as you will immediately recognize whether the modifier you are looking for is even in the lottery pot.
Abattoir of Zir: A new endgame challenge will also find its way into the game from December 5th. This is set to surpass everything in the game so far in terms of challenge. It is specifically aimed at characters at max level, i.e. 100
Holiday event Midwinter Blight: Starting December 12, the Fractured Peaks will be transformed into a special zone, a kind of winter monster land, for three weeks. Or as Blizzard calls it: Winter Terrorland
What do you think? Do you like the first teaser trailer? Does the addon look like something you’ve been wanting so far? Or should Blizzard take Diablo 4 in a different geographical direction after all? Do you like the jungle? What else would you definitely like to see?
