The update 1.20 will be released on October 17, but Blizzard has already published the patch notes. Here you can find all the changes.

If you want to read a novel again, browse through the patch notes of the Season 2 update of Diablo 4, because they are several pages long and promise the biggest update for the role-playing game since release.

We first present the most important changes, the complete patch notes can be found on page 2.

When will the patch go live? At the start of Season 2, on October 17, 2023. There might be a preload, but the date for that is not yet known.

These are the most important changes in patch 1.20

The patch brings new features, fixes bugs and improves the game in all possible corners. And there are also changes in the classes – surely much to the delight of necromancer fans, who like to have undead subjects working for them.

Necromancer: So far a minion debt hasn’t really paid off, after the patch it might be different. Your undead minions deal harder, take more damage, and are healed by Blood Orbs. Also, they won’t be single-handedly attacking invulnerable enemies all the time anymore.

Resistances: Armor now only provides physical protection, but jewelry can have all elemental resistances. Overall, resistances should become more important, especially in boss fights.

Uniques: Blizzard is tweaking how often you find unique items and how powerful they are. They are supposed to feel stronger after the patch and get lots of new affixes. Three new uniques will be added with Season 2.

Monsters: All enemies and bosses will be adjusted to the upcoming Season 2 powers, plus they will now scale with your level in the Open World. The minimum and maximum level is determined by your world level.

Quality of Life: Many smaller changes are intended to improve the adventurer’s life. For example, important waypoints are now automatically unlocked for you even if you skip the campaign. Your rescues control more easily, get stuck less often, sprint longer, and break through barricades. World bosses now respawn after 3.5 hours instead of 6. Items can be marked as favorites and then can no longer be sold accidentally.

The complete list of changes is much much longer, you can find it on the next page. Diablo 4 is clearly trying to win back many disappointed fans right now.
