Release: When does Season 6 start?

Season 6 starts on October 8th, directly after the end of Season 5 and with the release of Vessel of Hatred. Season 5 started at 7 pm and you could start the preload at 6 pm. This will probably be similar for the new season. The public test realm (PTR) took place from September 4 to 11

Season theme: What’s Season 6 about?

The new season theme has not yet been officially announced, but there have been some hints on the PTR. The new season will be called “Season of Hate ”&nbsp,

to match the title of the expansion.

In the gameplay settings, you could see a window mentioning the season theme and other features, such as the creatures distorted by Mephisto’s hatred. Therefore, it is currently assumed that a fight against Lillith’s father Mephisto is also on the cards, who has been seen very little on screen in Diablo 4 so far.

Another feature will be worldwalkers, which you fight in order to access hell portals. You can explore these in turn and gain powerful buffs.

Content: What’s new in 2.0

Season 6 starts with the big update 2.0, which was presented by the developers in the big Campfire stream. We briefly summarize the most important new features. You can find a more detailed overview here:

The new level cap

A new level cap is being introduced in Season 6. Instead of level 100 as before, you can nowonly level up to level 60 Levels 1 to 60 remain the so-called character levels, where you receive skill points for each level up. After level 60 you will collect Paragon points

Paragon system and glyphs

In patch 2.0, the paragon system in Diablo 4 will also be fundamentally revised. Instead of the previous 200, you will nowreceive up to 300 paragon points, which should be more significant, especially in the later stages of the game.

Another new feature is that the Paragon points are realm-bound&nbsp. This means that you unlock the points for all characters on a realm. This makes it much easier to level up additional seasonal characters. Glyphs will be upgradable up to level 100 and can be upgraded. However, this is based on a random principle that depends on your level of difficulty

New difficulty levels

In addition to the four previous difficulty levels, four more “Torment” levelswill be added, allowing you to adjust the difficulty level even more precisely to your strength. These are based on the levels of the pit of the workmaster. The “Normal” level corresponds to level 5 in the pit. As you complete higher and higher pit levels, you will also unlock the new Torment levels

This adjustment should make your progress easier, as the new difficulty levels also affect Nightmare Dungeons and other instanced content, which now scale with your difficulty level through “Smart Keys”. These Smart Keys are access items that allow you to enter instanced environments

Vessel of Hatred: What’s coming with the new addon?

With the start of the season, the new addon Vessel of Hatred will be released, offering a wealth of new content. Find out the most important things about rune words, the new character class, the new area and the announced mercenary feature here.

Runes and Rune Words

With Vessel of Hatred, runes are making their way back to Sanctuary. You can use themto create powerful effectsand give each class magical abilities,

for example.

To do this, you need to combine two different types of runes. The “Runes of Ritual” determine the condition, for example drinking a potion; and the “Runes of Invocation” determine the effect, for example an earthquake.

New class: Spiritborn

The Spiritborn comes from the depths of the jungles of Nahantu and combinesfast attacks with elemental magic He wields long melee weapons such as gleves, battle staffs and other polearms. In addition to nimble melee combat, he has the ability to summon four spirit guardians:

  • Centipede: Poisons your opponents and gives them debuffs
  • Eagle: Controls lightning and lets lightning attacks rain down on your opponents
  • Gorilla: The tank among the spirit creatures with high resistance and physical strength
  • Jaguar: Deals high damage with fire attacks and combos

New area: Nahantu

Nahantu is the home of the Spiritborn and is also known as Torajan. In the new area, you are mostly surrounded by dense jungle and dangerous plants and animals

The entire area is divided into six regions, four of which are in the jungle and two of which are themed around canyons. You can expect ruins, dungeons and new towns as well as various indigenous tribes who don’t always get along so well

The new mercenary feature

In Vessel of Hatred, you no longer have to fight the hellspawn alone. From now on youAI-controlled mercenarieswith their own background stories, personalities and abilities will help you

  • Raheir:A strong warrior from Gea Kul
  • Varyana:A butcher who used to indulge in cannibalism
  • Aldkin:A demon child with powerful abilities
  • Subo:An archer who became a bounty hunter

The Dark Citadel Last but not least, the Dark Citadel is a new endgame feature in which you explore dungeons and fight bosses together with other players. However, you don’t start together, but have to find your own individual path. A new marking system will allow you to communicate non-verbally with your party
