No sooner has patch 1.1.1 been released than Blizzard is already talking about 1.1.2 and 1.1.3. There is already some initial info.

Diablo 4 had a really difficult start into its first season: The patch 1.1.0 was heavily criticised by many fans and the player numbers have dropped significantly in the meantime.

The latest update 1.1.1 was much better received and Blizzard has now revealed that the next patches 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 are already in the starting blocks.

This is what we know about Diablo 4 Update 1.1.2 and 1.1.3

The latest patch, 1.1.1, brought much-needed buffs to the Barbarian and Wizard character classes, in addition to numerous bug fixes and improvements. In addition, a much-needed additional storage space has been added for each character, which can be purchased with gold.

After an internal developer build of the next update was spotted on the Blizzard servers, Community Director Adam Fletcher has now confirmed that patch 1.1.2 should be released very soon

What’s in it? The full changes are of course not yet known, but according to Blizzard, the update will fix a bug that has prevented players from completing the Fury Against Fate quest since the release of Diablo 4.

First info on patch 1.1.3 as well: The update (is due out in a few weeks) and fix additional game progress issues that players have reported time and time again.

We know that there is a small group of players who are unable to start or complete certain quests. The team has a solution ready, but it will come in 1.1.3. I know that sounds a bit far away, but it should happen in the next few weeks.

With the announcement of patch 1.1.3 in the coming weeks, it is likely that patch 1.1.2 will be released as early as next week, if not sooner. We’ll stay tuned and, as always, let you know directly as soon as more info is available.

Diablo 4: The latest patch 1.1.1 hides eight secret changes from you

The patch 1.1.1 addressed some issues of particular importance to fans. But there are also some secret changes in the update….

With patch 1.1.1, Blizzard managed to turn the previously lousy mood in the community in a completely different direction. Many fans cheered that the developers were finally listening to the feedback on the net and had taken an important step in the right direction with the update.

For those who still don’t know what has been changed: Patch 1.1.1 strengthened barbarians and wizards, packed more enemies into Nightmare Dungeons and Hellfloods, and increased the drop rate of Legendaries on Treasure Goblins and dungeon bosses, among other things.

But there’s more…

But that’s not all. There are also some secret changes hidden in the new patch that Blizzard has not openly communicated in the patch notes. We’ve picked out the most important ones for you:

  • The 5th upgrade for your crate now costs 400,000 gold.
  • The enchantment priority system on the Occultist has been removed. Some pieces of armour were previously guaranteed to have certain affixes.
  • The item Message of Hakan has been given an incorrect affix. Apparently physical damage and ultimate damage were mixed up.
  • Vicious Barber Hearts are now extremely powerful and work with almost all abilities.
  • Bait Hearts on the Hunter no longer attract enemies.
  • The Aspect of Alpha for Druids is now multiplicative.
  • The leveling speed is 20-30 percent faster due to higher enemy density in dungeons.
  • Although the patch notes announced that dungeon bosses would have more health, they do not appear to have been buffed. Whether this is a bug is currently unclear.

A bug for sure might be the not working item Vauntiness . Its barrier effect is now limited to the base life. The change was also not announced in the patch notes.

The most interesting changes for many players are the changes to the occultist and the barber’s heart.

Stop it, Blizzard!

Not all of these secret changes are well-liked by fans. On (Reddit some) write that Blizzard should finally stop secretly making more changes that are not noted in the patch notes. Although some of the changes are good and make sense, it would be desirable if the developers openly communicated what exactly they had changed with an update.

Enough with the undocumented changes Blizzard!

With the last update 1.1.0 there had been undocumented changes, for example the reset button for dungeons had returned quietly and secretly.

What do you think about secret changes in Diablo 4? Do you think it’s cool to come across things that aren’t in the patch notes every now and then, or do you think the developers should be more open and honest down to the last detail? Feel free to let us know in the comments
