When will Diablo Immortal be released?
Diablo Immortal will be released for free on 2 June 2022 for iOS, Android, and, it has now been announced, PC. The developers state that they want to reach as many players as possible in this way. The PC version of Diablo Immortal will initially be released as an open beta on 2 June. There is also a new trailer to accompany the announcement:
How does crossplay work in Diablo Immortal?
In Diablo Immortal there will not only be cross-play between mobile platforms and PC, but also cross-progression. In concrete terms, this means that you can easily play together with friends who play on another platform. You can also switch platforms at any time. So you can play at home from the PC and continue at the same place on the move with your smartphone.
We were able to try out Diablo Immortal on a mobile phone some time ago and were pleasantly surprised!
How does the PC version work?
Even though Diablo Immortal is launching as a beta on PC, this version is expected to include all the content and features of the original game. Furthermore, when development is complete, all of your progress from the beta will be carried over.
Visually, the PC version will probably not differ from the original either. The only thing mentioned in the livestream is that modern smartphones have a very high resolution, which is why the game also looks great on the PC. Screenshots from both versions can be seen here:
On PC you will be able to control Diablo Immortal not only with a controller, but also with mouse and keyboard. In the classic way, you can let your character run and attack with a mouse click, or even move with WASD.
