Shadow of the Erdtree support
The patch adds support for the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. You can also look forward to five new hairstyles that can be selected during character creation or via the Clouded Mirror Stand and Rennala’s Rebirth function

Card and summoning functions
A new map functions menu has been added to the map menu. There are also new features for the summoning pools: These now remain active in NG+ and can be activated or deactivated individually in the new menu. It is particularly useful that the summoning pools can be used within the Mohgwyn Palace when selecting Nearby areas only
Inventory updates
Newly obtained items are now marked with an exclamation mark and you will find a new tab called Recently Obtained Items in the inventory. However, you have to activate this first. We explain how this works in the following mini-guide:
General balance adjustments
These adjustments affect both PvE and PvP. They include increased dexterity scaling for certain weapons, increased stamina consumption when blocking with certain weapon types and increased speed of attacks with axes, greataxes, hammers, flails and slashers. The damage values of charged attacks and whips as well as the speed of consecutive attacks with light and long bows have also been increased.
PvP-exclusive balance adjustments
For the PvP players among you, there are also numerous adjustments. The Insanity and Sleep status effect buildup will now be temporarily stopped after you have been affected by it. In addition, the Poise damage values and the general damage values of various weapon types have been adjusted. These changes are intended to provide a more balanced PvP experience

New feature
- Additional support for the Shadow of the Earth DLC
- Five new hairstyles have been added to the game. They can be selected during character creation, with the cloud level or with Rennala’s rebirth function.
- The “Map Functions” menu has been added to the map menu.
- New Summon Pool functions:
- Active summon pools are now transferred to NG+.
- Individual summoning pools can now be activated / deactivated in the newly added card function menu.
– When using the Lesser Golden Effigy, if the “Include Remote Areas” option is selected, Summon Pools within the Mohgwyn Palace will not be selected for summoning even if enabled.
– If you are inside Moghwyn Palace and select “Nearby Only” when using the Small Golden Effigy, you can be summoned within the area.
New inventory properties:
- Newly received items are marked with a “!”.
- A new tab called “Recent Items” has been added to check recently received items.
- The display settings can be changed via the “Display” tab in the system menu.
- Added new function to summon the Spectral Steed during the boss fight with the Elden Beast.
- New function in the Colosseum: Crafting consumables consumed during a battle will be replenished at the end of the session.
- Added support for the Arabic language.
New features for Steam only
- New keyboard/mouse settings:
- Added the setting “Lock-on change threshold” of the mouse control.
- Added setting to change the behavior of the cursor movement in the map menu.
- Added key assignments for opening the map in the “Key settings” menu.
PvP-exclusive balance adjustments
The adjustments in this section have no effect on single player or co-op play.
Weapon Customizations
- After being affected by the status effects “Madness” and/or “Sleep”, the build-up of status effects is interrupted for a short time.
- The Poise damage of some attacks against other players with the following weapon types has been increased:
- Great Swords / Colossal Swords / Curved Greatswords / Great Axes / Hammers / Flails / Great Hammers / Colossal Weapons / Great Spears / Halberds
- Adjusted poise damage of some two-handed attacks against other players by the following weapon types:
- Large Swords / Axes / Great Axes / Hammers / Great Hammers / Halberds / Reapers
- Increased Poise damage against other players from two-handed attacks with the following weapon types:
- axes / hammers / halberds / reapers
- Increased poise damage from axes against other players
- Damage from two-weapon attacks against other players has been reduced for all weapon types.
- Reduced the damage of some attacks against other players with the following weapon types:
- Daggers / Straight Swords / Slashing Swords / Heavy Slashing Swords / Curved Swords / Katanas / Twin Blades / Axes / Spears / Reapers / Whips / Fists / Claws
- The Poise value of some attack moves against other players with the following weapon types has been reduced:
- Great Swords / Colossal Swords / Curved Greatswords / Great Axes / Hammers / Flails / Great Hammers / Colossal Weapons / Great Spears / Halberds
- The damage of some attacks against other players has been reduced for the weapon type “Heavy Thrusting Swords”.
- Damage from dual-wielding attacks against other players has been reduced for the following weapon types:
- Spears / Great Spears
- Reduced the damage animation movement of the following weapon types when another player is stunned by a two-handed heavy running attack:
- Fists / claws
- The effects of Blessing of the Canopy and Radiant Blessing of the Canopy have been reduced to increase the poise value and negation of physical damage in PvP.

- Increased skill scaling when assigning Ashes of War with appropriate weapon affinities.
- Increased stamina consumption when defending against attacks with the following weapon types:
- Large swords / Curved large swords / Large axes / Large hammers
- The speed of some attacks of the following weapon types has been increased:
- Axes / Greataxes / Hammers / Flails / Reapers
- The damage of charged attacks from the following weapon types has been increased:

- The rotation speed of normal attacks of the reaper weapon type has been increased.
- The damage of the whip weapon type has been increased, except for the “Ulmi” whip.
- Increased the speed of consecutive attacks for the following weapon types:

- Increases the Poise damage of the weapon type Torches.
- Increased the duration of the effect of Mohg’s Great Rune, which increases attack power when a bleeding status effect is triggered by a nearby summoned spirit.
- Reduced the healing amount reduction of Vial of Crimson Tears and increased the Heal on Attack effect when using Malenia’s Great Rune.
- Increased the attack power of arrows, great arrows, bolts, and great bolts that can be crafted by crafting items.
- The rotation speed of two-handed weapons has been reduced for the following weapon types:

- Fixed a bug that caused damage to the player and friendly summons when using the skill “Last Rites” under certain circumstances.

- Fixed a bug in the skill “Flinging Slash” that caused poise when using “Twin Blades”.

- Fixed a bug where the properties of some weapons did not work correctly against mounted enemies.
- Fixed a bug that caused bleeding when using the skill “Whirling Strikes” while under the effect of the skill “Bloodflame Blade”, even if the attack did not hit the enemy.
- Fixed a bug that caused some skills to not execute correctly when performing certain actions.

- Fixed a bug in multiplayer mode where some ghosts could still be seen after disappearing.
- Improved multiplayer stability under certain circumstances
- Fixed a bug that caused certain maps to render differently than expected under certain circumstances.
- Fixed a bug that caused the damage of some equipped weapons to be displayed incorrectly in various menus.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the marking of mercy spots in the map menu under certain circumstances.
- Fixes a bug where item names and the cursor were not displayed correctly in the inventory menu under certain circumstances.
- Fixed a bug where event actions were available while in the map menu.
- Fixed a bug in the map menu that caused certain terrains to be displayed differently than the actual terrain.
Steam-only customizations
- The initial layout of “Keyboard settings” has been changed to “Keyboard and mouse settings” in the system menu.
Note: If you have created memory data before this update, your layout is not affected.
Fixed a bug where the mouse cursor would blink in the title menu, causing the game to become unstable under certain circumstances.
Fixed a bug where right-clicking during the tutorial would display a submenu with no entries.
