The FIFA 22 Global Series was announced by EA. But the prize money is currently causing displeasure in the community.

On Wednesday EA announced the FIFA 22 Global Series with all the changes. Compared to other Esports areas like CS:GO or Dota 2, the prize money for the upcoming FIFA qualifiers is extremely low.

Via Twitter the pro player Mohammed “MoAuba” Harkous published a current prize money breakdown for the online qualifier tournaments of the FIFA 22 Global Series. The winner will receive 10,000 US dollars in prize money. For the fact that EA regularly reports new record figures of 1.62 billion, this sum seems ridiculous in the eyes of the community.

The comments under the Twitter post are accordingly. Some users note that the pure investment in the game is already higher than the prize money to be achieved. The winner of the FUT Champions Cup will receive at least 100,000 US dollars.
