FIFA 22 Ultimate Team is going into the third season. This also means that EA Sports has made a few changes. What they are, you can find out here.

Ultimate Team is the most popular mode in FIFA 22. You can create your own dream teams from different player cards and qualify for the Champions Finals at the weekend in the mode Division Rivals via the FUT Champions Playoffs. However, precisely this mode is set to change significantly for the new season.

The Weekend League can sometimes be really evenly contested. If it should go all the way to the penalty shootout, this video might help you out.

The third season in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team will start on December 23rd at 9am. The following changes have been announced by EA Sports to the Division Rivals, Playoffs and Champions Finals (Weekend League) modes.

Division Rivals in Season 3

Those who wanted to qualify for the Weekend League first had to earn 2,000 qualifying points via the Division Rivals mode to qualify for the playoffs. These points were reduced to 1,250 points with the third season. The playoffs were also simplified.

FUT Champions Playoffs

Those who have accumulated 1,250 points via the Weekend League or Division Rivals will be granted access to participate in the FUT Champions Playoffs. In Season 2, one had to collect 24 points from nine games. You received four points for a win and one point for a defeat. In the worst case, you needed five wins and four losses.

From Season 3, you only need 20 points from ten games. So that means you only need four wins and six losses or five wins without a loss.

FUT Champions Finals

Those who have now played their way into the Weekend League will no longer end up playing their way into one of the six tiers, but into one of the ten tiers. We have already written a detailed article on the innovations of the FUT 22 Weekend League Rewards.

Overall, the new season will be much more casual-friendly, as it will be easier to participate in the Weekend League. However, this also means more participants at the weekend and a performance test for the EA servers.
