Further OTW cards for FIFA 23 Ultimate Team are officially confirmed. Besides two Germans, prominent newcomers from Paris and Torino are also included.

EA Sports announced six more players on Twitter on Wednesday night who will receive an “Ones to Watch” promo card in FIFA 23. They include German international Antonio Rüdiger from Real Madrid, as well as DFB rookie and BVB newcomer Nico Schlotterbeck. The values of the cards can still improve depending on the performance of the players.

In addition to Rüdiger and Schlotterbeck, the following players have also been announced as “Ones to Watch”: Aurélien Tchouameni (Real Madrid), Renato Sanches (Paris Saint-Germain), Tyler Adams (Leeds United) and Steven Bergwijn (Ajax Amsterdam). In addition, Angel Di Maria (Juventus Turin) is available as an SBC.

They join four Premier League players who were announced as OTW cards back in early September (see original article below).

Ones to Watch is the traditional first promo in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. It honours the best transfers of the summer of 2022, with the cards” rating potentially increasing throughout the season as players celebrate certain achievements, as well as receive TOTW or MOTM cards (see original article below). EA Sports announced it will reveal the full line-up of the promo on Friday.

The top transfers of the summer 2022 will get a so called OTW card in FIFA 23. The rating of this card corresponds to the strongest TOTW or MOTM card of the player. From the Premier League, four transfers have been officially announced that will receive a special card.

Sterling (Chelsea FC), Richarlison (Tottenham Hotspurs), Haaland (Manchester City) and Darwin Nunez (Liverpool FC) have been unveiled by EA Sports as the first Ones to Watch players. The OTWs in FIFA 23 are also set to receive two additional upgrade options.

In addition to aligning OTWs with Team of the Week and Man of the Match cards, special cards can receive two more unique upgrades:

  • Good performance of the club in their own league (Three home wins in the next eight home matches).
  • Good performance at the World Cup (At least one win)

Haaland with no chance of double upgrade

While we can be pretty sure that Manchester City will win their next home games together with Haaland, the Norwegian is without a chance at the World Cup upgrade. Norway have missed out on World Cup qualification.

Sterling, Nunez and Richarlison, on the other hand, have the chance to dust off all the upgrades.
