Even though there will be no crossplay, the community is waiting for the innovations of FIFA 23, with VOLTA Football and Pro Clubs to come together.
The official release of FIFA 23 is on September 30, 2022. Besides the popular Ultimate Team mode, the community is also waiting for information about Pro Clubs. EA Sports is adding info on VOLTA FOOTBALL on top of that.

Pro Clubs and VOLTA Football move closer together
There”s a reason EA Sports decided to put Pro Clubs and VOLTA FOOTBALL in one trailer
Pro Clubs and VOLTA FOOTBALL are both modes designed to play with friends, share experiences and compete with each other
Apart from that, the two modes differ in that Pro Clubs focuses on realism and VOLTA FOOTBALL is a bit wilder.
In FIFA 23 there are more ways to level
In Pro Clubs you get the chance to play a total of 66 different skill games . So if your friends are late again, you can use the time to jump into the skill games and improve your Virtual Pro a bit more.
In addition, you will be ranked with the other Pro Clubs colleagues in each Skillgame, as you already know from the classic Skillgames.
New in FIFA 23 is that you get experience points for your Virtual Pro when you play VOLTA FOOTBALL matches. This also includes the Arcade Mode.
Leveling gets easier in FIFA 23
In FIFA 23 you need less experience points for a level up. Furthermore the following points were adjusted:
- The maximum level was increased from 25 to 100.
- Virtual Pros receive a maximum of 185 skill points.
- All perks are unlocked at level 25. After that, level ups unlock perk slots and gain more skill points.
More Perks in FIFA 23 Pro Clubs
Perks are special characteristics that boost your Virtual Pro in certain attributes. There will be four more of these perks in FIFA 23
- Attacking: Poacher – Boost to all completion values when the Pro is in the penalty area.
- Chance Creation: Light Passes – Increases the ability of your teammates to receive and control your passes.
- Defensive: Interceptor – Increases the ability to anticipate opponent passes and intercept balls when the Pro is near the ball.
Chase Down – Also increases tempo value on loss of possession for up to 40 in-game seconds, but maximum until ball is won again.
Seasons in Pro Clubs and VOLTA FOOTBALL
In FIFA 23 there is a common season with a lot of content for both modes. So you will finally be able to unlock things for your Pro in Pro Clubs
Customisation finally also in Pro Clubs
Tattoos, accessories, shoes, hairstyles and much more find their way into Pro Clubs mode. In VOLTA FOOTBALL, the trend continues and you can look forward to wild clothes and neon colours.
Gameplay benefits from Hypermotion2
The gameplay has also been revised, of course. In addition, there are the Hypermotion2 AR repetitions, which are supposed to put your own Virtual Pro in the limelight again.
Drop-Ins in FIFA 23 Pro Clubs will be adjusted
If nobody from your team is online, you probably want to play a short round with randoms. This year there is also this mode, in which you can spontaneously play a round with others.
To make sure you don”t lose so much time, the halves will only last four minutes and after 90 minutes there will be a golden goal and a draw if there are no winners. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are therefore out of the question.
Furthermore you play in different stadiums and in different kits from FIFA 23 on so that it doesn”t get completely boring visually at some point.

In FIFA 23 you get a special motivation to show a good performance on the pitch. The best players in different categories are presented again after each match. These include:
- Most Saves
- Aerial Battle Winner
- Top Scorer
- Top Passer
- Top Tackler
- Most Intercepter
New plays in VOLTA ARCADE
Dribble King: Dribble inside the circle. Whoever moves out of the circle flies out.
Obstacle Course: An obstacle course with the ball.
Foot Golf: Golfing with a football.
Four-Squares: Shoot the ball into the opponent”s box. If your box is hit twice, you are out.
Battle Buckets: Fight for possession of the ball. Once you have the ball, you have to get it into the middle bucket. Whoever collects more points wins.
Capture the Ball: Works like Capture the Flag. Get the ball out of your opponent”s base and bring it into your own.

Although there will indeed be no crossplay for Pro Clubs, we”re looking forward to trying out all the new features in-game. EA Sports has at least announced that they are working on the crossplay feature and it could be introduced later this season.
