EA Sports has released the event Numbers Up in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. 13 players are set to receive a boost at regular intervals
The Numbers Up promo in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team has started on Friday evening. In cooperation with sporting goods manufacturer Adidas, special cards have been unveiled of players who will receive a value boost in three stages until that value is at the 99 maximum. A Squad Building Challenge (SBC) with Marco Asensio is already available. Steven Bergwijn is available via Objective.
Elf players are randomly available in their Numbers-Up versions for one week in FUT packs. The boost of a sub-value depends on the Adidas shoe worn by the respective player. The X model improves the players’ speed values, the Predator model increases the dribbling value (for goalkeepers handling) and the Copa shoes increase the passing value.

How Numbers Up works: three boosts to the 99 value
EA Sports explains the mechanics (via blogpost). The first upgrade to the cards has already been made with Friday’s release. For example, the speed of Atletico striker João Félix is already improved by 8 points to 90 clear in contrast to his gold card. But the other characteristics are also slightly increased. In the overall ranking, Félix has moved up from 83 to 88.
Two more automatic boosts will be given to the Numbers-Up cards. The next boost will be at the end of December and the last one in the new year at the end of the season, i.e. at the end of April. Then the respective preferred sub-values of the individual cards will have reached the 99 mark. In addition, the other sub-values will also get slight boosts, allowing the cards to clearly improve twice more. These boosts are guaranteed to happen even when the real players are injured or out of action.
Solution of the Asensio SBC
Numbers Up Marco Asensio is a match-winning card on the right wing. The Real Madrid Spaniard is available via SBC for a value of 45,000 coins. Because he wears Adidas Predator shoes, his dribbling is raised to 99 by the end of the season.
