At the very beginning of FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, everything is set on optimised teams. We show two starter squads that should come to fruition after the first intense hours of play.
Most players aren’t exactly swimming in coins at the start of a new FIFA game. Still, it takes certain class to make it in the tough world of Weekend League Playoffs and Division Rivals. Today we introduce you to two teams that can give you a good chance of winning right from the start.
Team 1: Home sweet home – Bundesliga
For many players in the German FUT community, starting with the Bundesliga is something of a point of honour. In previous FIFA titles, the German league and its top players were often rated somewhat lower than was the case with the Premier League, for example. What we’ve seen of this year’s selection, though, has been a wash – at least for a solid opener.
Two players from Borussia Dortmund are particularly interesting: centre-back Manuel Akanji and new striker Doyell Malen. Both players are expected to be able to put in strong performances due to their good pace values.
Probably the most expensive card of this team will most likely be left-back Alphonso Davies. The Canadian can boast incredible speed, which already made him a top candidate for starter teams last year. However, due to his comparatively low overall rating of 82, the price should be kept in check. Our first estimate is 40,000 FUT coins, also because there are other good alternatives this year that can bring the price down.
In central defence, we fall back on the old trick from FIFA 21, where outside defenders with reasonable pace values are used as central players from the start. Thus, Bayern defender Lucas Hernandez moves to the back row for us.
It is important to mention, however, that not all players from the Bundesliga are known yet, so some cheap Beasts might still remain hidden from us. According to Futmind.com, central defenders Lukas Klostermann (80) and Maxence Lacroix (79) have high tempo values and would therefore be perfect starters for comparatively little money.
Estimated total cost for this team: approx. 75,000 FUT coins
Team 2: Every year again – Premier League
As in previous years, the Premier League will once again be the most popular league in FIFA 22. Due to the abundance of talent and young players, the potential of this league will continue to be top notch. The disadvantage: Players cost extremely many coins.
We have put together a provisional team for you, which should neither strain your FUT wallet nor your patience.
will be a second striker in the game, effectively playing in a 4-4-2.The defence looks solid too. Even if Antonio Rüdiger is not too happy, with his rating, he will have to pull the coals out of the fire. With Daniel James on the wing, we are also assured of a lightning-quick attack.
The most expensive card will probably be Gabriel Jesus. Even though the City striker got a value adjustment, he will end up at just under 40,000 coins. We value the German international Rüdiger at 25,000 FUT coins.
Estimated total cost for this team: around 100,000 coins
