From now on you can pre-order the FIFA 22 editions in the stores. We show you the details and what you have to look out for!
On 11 July 2021 EA Sports released the first official trailer for FIFA 22. The most important content was the use of Hypermotion Technology and the editions that can be pre-ordered.
Two editions for FIFA 22
At the end of the trailer it was announced that you can now pre-order the new football simulation. However, looking at the stores it is noticeable that it is “only” 2 versions.
The Standard Edition can be played from Friday, 1 October 2021 and includes the following extras:
– TOTW-1 player
– Kylian Mbappé on loan for five games
– FUT Ambassador player on loan for three games (Alaba, Son or Foden).
– Career mode homegrown
– As previously announced, the Standard Edition will still cost 69.99 euros for the PS4 and 79.99 euros for the PS5. The game cannot be upgraded afterwards. Those who only want to switch during the – – – season should buy the Ultimate Edition.
The Ultimate Edition can be played as early as Monday, 27 September 2021 and includes several advantages over the Standard Edition:
– All four points of the Standard Edition (see above).
– FUT Hero Players (If pre-ordered by 11 August)
– Ones-to-Watch players
– Free PS5 upgrade
– 4,600 FIFA Points (equivalent to approx. 46 euros in the PlayStation Store without EA Play)
For FUT players, the Ultimate Edition could be worthwhile this time, as you no longer receive packs every week, but can use the points to buy packs as needed or put them directly into FUT Draft at the beginning. If you would have bought Points at the beginning anyway, you will save at least 46 euros. How to get the Ultimate-Edition for about 80 Euros instead of 100 Euros, we have explained in this article:
