The beta version of FIFA 22 is deactivated by EA one day after the start. The reason for this is said to be excessive leaks of the community which EA wants to retaliate in this way.
FIFA 22 is still future music, but closer than many players would have thought. EA already sent a beta version of the game to selected players on 23 June – only to deactivate it again immediately. The test players had spread numerous leaks such as menu images on social media against the explicit request of Electronic Arts. The game manufacturer is now punishing this and taking the exciting beta version away from them again.
🛑 I have confirmation from a playtester, the #FIFA22 Playtest was shut down because of Leaks + Screenshots being shared around on social media. It has nothing to do with bugs or servers etc.

Unlikeable players don’t get a beta
One of the first people to report the beta being disabled was Twitter leaker KingLangpard. In the past few days, his account as well as numerous others on the social media platform spread extensive information about the upcoming FIFA title. Some even shared screenshots taken by game testers in the beta’s menu.
Electronic Arts apparently didn’t find any of it particularly funny. The beta deactivation was not accompanied by a reason at first, which is why some players speculated on bugs and server problems. Bit by bit, however, Twitter accounts are now coming forward and apparently giving confirmed information that the numerous leaks and screenshots were the reason.
Electronic Arts itself has not yet commented on the incident. It is therefore still unclear whether a renewed beta launch to carefully selected players or professionals will take place. For now, FIFA fans and testers have lost their chances to get a glimpse of the beta.
