A Reddit user has found an easy way to cross a large distance of water in seconds. Here’s how!
In addition to the many characters and items Fortnite added with Chapter 3, a new tree type has also been added. This one will help you get across the water extremely fast.
The Tree Trick
Just a few hours after the Fortnite update to Chapter 3, Reddit user “HaYouGotRekTed” has found an interesting feature of the new trees. These trees can be used as speed boats, so to speak. So if you take down one of the new trees and the trunk lands in the water, all you have to do is stand on it and keep hitting the trunk with the harvesting tool. Funnily enough, this actually looks quite similar to a paddle movement.

Whether this feature was intentionally placed in the game by Epic Games is still unclear. However, one has to admit that it is a useful trick that could become important especially with the many lakes.
