With the Tactical Sprint mechanic, Fortnite takes a step in the direction of Call of Duty, bringing more mobility to the game.

Fortnite is known for always adding new content. Now they are also looking to introduce the Tactical Sprint mechanic, which is already used in other shooters.

Faster on the move

The leaker “HYPEX”, who is usually right with his assumptions, posted on Twitter that Epic Games is working on the Sprint mechanic. Some may already know this from games like Call of Duty. This is a separate running option that can be activated for a short time to increase the speed of the player.

In Fortnite, this is supposed to work the same way. If the Tactical Sprint is used while running down a hill, for example, the speed is supposed to increase even more. There will also be a change in the field of vision, because the faster you go, the more the camera will shake. We already know this from the slide animation, which has been around for a while.

Such a change is welcomed by Fortnite fans. The Spider-Man web shooters were also well received by the community, as they allow you to get across the map very quickly. It is expected that Tactical Sprint will be triggered by double pressing the Sprint button, as in other games. However, it is still unclear when this mechanic will be implemented in the game.
