Fortnite’s new Skibidi Toilet collaboration is a real letdown for many fans.
Anyone who regularly plays Fortnite has already experienced a lot: Epic’s Battle Royale is a clash of worlds unlike any other. Here you can shoot pop culture icons like Son Goku, Ariana Grande, Batman or even Edward Scissorhands.
Whether it’s superheroes, music stars or anime characters, Fortnite brings them all together! But with the latest collaboration, even the hard-boiled community is reaching its limits: Skibidi Toilet has arrived – and is causing quite a stir.
Skibidi-was?
But before we dive into the heated discussions, let’s first clarify the most important question: What the heck is Skibidi Toilet?
This curious phenomenon started as a series of absurd Source Engine videos in which toilets with human heads, bobbing to a strangely catchy beat, subjugate humanity – but see for yourself:
The videos spread like wildfire and became a viral hit – so much so that Skibidi Toilet has now generated billions of views and the YouTube channel DaFuqBoom currently has almost 45 million subscribers. Welcome to 2024.
A real turd
Some people may find this amusing, but most Fortnite players seem less excited about the toilet creatures and see the cosmetics more as a low point in Epic Games’ already controversial collaboration strategy.

On Reddit platforms, there was currently a hail of criticism from :
When we said we wanted Half-Life in Fortnite, we didn’t mean it…
– TogusPerogusThis is the worst birthday present I’ll ever get
– AsumsauceYou’re not seriously telling me that we’re in a Japanese-themed season where we can expect Cyberpunk, Demon Slayer, Miku […] … and the FIRST new IP we get in the store is Skibidi, the damn toilet?
– chark_uwuI woke up 15 minutes ago and my day is already ruined
– championnnnn
Despite all the criticism, Epic Games has to be given one thing: With Skibidi Toilet, Fortnite has once again managed to get people talking.
Whether the skin will actually be a financial failure or turn out to be a surprise bestseller remains to be seen. In any case, it wouldn’t be surprising if, just in time for Christmas, millions of kids started asking for VBucks again, just to proudly march across the Fortnite map with a toilet head.
