In the middle of the week, you can pick up over a dozen great games at a low price. Here are our sale recommendations
It’s Wednesday and that means: Unfortunately, it’s still a while until the weekend. But what the day also means: There are lots of great offers on Steam again! And because we’re as reliable as Swiss clockwork, we’ve once again let the editorial price fox off the leash this week
With success: Our furry friend was able to sniff out 15 games for you. Among them is probably one of the best shooter series ever, but pretty much all other genres are also covered, don’t worry!
Highlight of the week: Metro Saga Bundle
- Genre & Release: First-person shooter – March 2010 / May 2013 / February 2019
- Discount & Price: 89 percent – 9 Euro instead of 85 Euro
- Offer valid until: December 18, 2023
With the so-called Saga Bundle
you get three excellent shooters for less than ten euros! The Metro series is based on the works of the same name by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky and puts you in the shoes of young Artyom in the Moscow metro, which has become home to thousands of people after a nuclear war has made the earth’s surface uninhabitable.
Or is that a lie? While in the first two games in the series, Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light, you largely fight mutants, fascists and other creatures in the darkness of the subway tunnels, in Metro Exodus you venture to the surface and find out what the state of the planet is really like.
The great strength of the Metro games is clearly the atmosphere. There is no blunt shooting here, quite the opposite: by shooter standards, there are surprisingly few bullets flying through the air. Instead, it’s all about storytelling in a fascinating and often damn scary game world that looks disturbingly realistic despite the mutants and the like.
If you’ve never played this shooter before, you should pick it up now and get ready for a great time!
More great games on offer
- Sifu: Our editorial karate master Dimi wrote in his test:
This game broke me.
Now you must be curious about this fighting game, right? Watch out: very difficult! (20 Euro, reduced by 50 percent)
- The Legend of Tianding: Behind the somewhat strange name lies a very good action sidescroller in which you, as a Taiwanese folk hero, explore the streets of your Japanese-occupied hometown and help the population. (10 Euro, reduced by 50 percent)
- Dysmantle: A survival game in the post-apocalypse, in which everything revolves around somehow getting around and escaping from a deadly dangerous island. Crafting, fighting, building an outpost – it’s the usual fun genre fare. (8 Euro, reduced by 59 percent)
- Road 96: A road trip in which you experience different stories, each of which is crazier than the last. Nevertheless, all fates are somehow connected, as you will discover in the course of the game. (5 Euro, reduced by 75 percent)
- Dead Space Remake: If you haven’t yet had the chance to play the wonderful remake of the horror hit yourself, you now have a great opportunity. (27 euros, reduced by 55 percent)
- Pony Island: To describe this game in detail would spoil much of the fascination. You find yourself in a defective arcade machine built by the devil himself. What do ponies have to do with it? Well… (1 Euro, reduced by 85 percent)
- King Arthur: Knight’s Tale: A mix of turn-based tactics and role-playing game. Essentially tells the well-known Arthurian legend, but then does a few things differently. Particularly exciting: You have to make moral decisions again and again in order to rebuild Camelot. (18 Euro, reduced by 60 percent)
