You’re willing to sacrifice the next three vacations to enjoy a fancy restaurant with your loved ones for your wedding reception. Fortunately, the takeout tastes almost as good. And no meal is known to contain more love than mom’s stew. The following insider tips for the weekend are (more or less) all about that.

Complex top-down games like Project Zomboid or Kenshi have their own hardcore fans who have managed to understand the mechanics. Elin also falls into the open-world sandbox category, but it does its own thing very strongly. What looks like a SNES role-playing game from the outside is built on a profound simulation in the background.
You have a lot of freedom in what you do with your single-player character: build your own house or an entire base, steal property from other citizens, take vacations in remote places or settle down and have children. And don’t forget that your character needs to eat from time to time.
Whether we would kill in the game for a handbag like in Project Zomboid, we can’t answer spontaneously.
The Rise of the Golden Idol

Our video editor Daniel was captivated by The Case of the Golden Idol, the predecessor of The Rise of the Golden Idol As a standalone sequel, the new installment builds on its predecessor, but doesn’t require any knowledge.
Those who play The Rise of the Golden Idol on Steam are mostly pleased. Although joy is a strong word for the strong stuff that the playful point-and-click adventure presents. You have to solve 20 cases, some serious, some zapping dark, in detective work. Rust Cohle, take over!
Supervive
(Genre: MOBA-Shooter – Steam-Release: 20. November 2024 (Early Access) – Preis: Free2Play)
A new MOBA invites you to strategic multiplayer battles that focus on fast movement and shooting. The free-to-play Supervive shows in the trailer rather chaotic, but also fun-looking gameplay.

Dark Hours

In; Dark Hours you actually have a foolproof plan: pull off a burglary, grab valuables, profit. But suddenly everything changes and your co-op gang of crooks is confronted with a supernatural terror that mercilessly hunts you down. How you escape this nightmare is something you’ll have to figure out for yourselves.
Important to know: Despite good ratings, the live user numbers on Steam are currently rather low. Although around 400 players should be enough for co-op matchmaking, you’ll be on the safe side with a few friends in tow in Dark Hours.
Luma Island
If this game reminds you of Stardew Valley and the like, you couldn’t be more right. In Luma Island, you arrive on a tranquil island, dig up fields for your small farm, collect the eponymous Luma creatures, and learn a variety of professions. So Luma Island is a real Cozy Game
