Solasta: Crown of the Magister will get a new DLC, Palace of Ice, which will conclude the campaign and bring even more new content.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister has been around since 2021, but it has also flown a little under the radar. Solasta: Crown of the Magister offers much of what fans of Baldur’s Gate or Dragon Age can appreciate. But with a unique spin! Because here you don’t just create your own hero right at the beginning, but an entire role-playing party.
On Steam and in our test, the RPG came off extremely well, even though it naturally revealed a few weaknesses. Nevertheless, it was a success and receives regular DLCs. Now the developers announced the biggest DLC so far, which also brings the story campaign to a conclusion.
The trailer revealed the expansion:
This is all in Palace of Ice
You better pack some warm clothes, because the grand finale will take you into the eternal ice. After completing the story, your group of heroes (or a complete new group of heroes) will head to the land of the Snow Alliance, which has been infiltrated by the Soraks. These are the nasty lizard lizards who infiltrate entire societies as shapeshifters.
Since this is a high-level adventure, your new heroes start the story at level 10. From here you can advance to level 16 – which of course means a lot more new spells and abilities for each class. Just expect that the tactical round battles will also become much more complicated and present you with new challenges.
In addition, there are two new origins:
- You can create a gnome as a hero, who are known for their illusion magic.
- You can now also build a Tiefling in which demonic blood flows.
In addition, the expansion includes new content and monsters to create your own dungeons. A free update will also be released that introduces six new faces for humans, elves, dwarves, halflings and half-elves independently of the addon. The DLC is scheduled to be released in May 2023.
