Command & Conquer Legions is to be released for Android and iOS before the end of 2023. The strategy game only partially relies on familiar strengths.

The legendary real-time strategy series Command & Conquer seems to be hopelessly lost in the past.

The last full-fledged title was released half an eternity ago and after the release of the remaster, unlike what Peter had hoped for, no sequel was announced.

Here is the trailer:

However, Command & Conquer Legions is still scheduled for release in 2023, but it will be developed exclusively for mobile devices. How this mobile C&C is supposed to play already reveals some details about the gameplay.

How does C&C Legions work?

Legions will be published by the Tencent label Level Infinite, which has signed a licensing agreement with Electronic Arts. In terms of gameplay, the company wants to focus on a mixture of familiar elements for C&C fans and a new experience adapted to mobile devices.

Thus, on the one hand, there will be familiar units, heroes, factions (GVI and NOD) and other aspects from previous games in the series, but the individual rounds will be shorter and faster

It is also confirmed that you will be allowed to fight battles against the AI and against other players . The valuable resource tiberium is also of central importance. You can either use the rare meteorite crystals to destroy your enemies or use them to boost your own progress.

Interaction or competition with others always seems to play a big role: On a large map shared with other commanders, you can form alliances, share resources, and plan your course of action. You conquer cities and regions, build outposts or bases and collect resources to research advanced technologies.

At the moment, Command & Conquer Legions has not yet been released in Germany, but is probably already available in other regions via soft launch. Even though there is no official trailer yet, you can even find (Gameplay-Videos) to the game on YouTube.

What do you think of the new Command & Conquer for mobile devices. Does it look like the right game for in-between to you?
