In less than a month, A Plague Tale: Requiem will be released. Focus Entertainment is using this countdown to once again beat the advertising drum. In the last few weeks, the publisher shared several videos that not only presented the gameplay features in more detail. They also introduced the voice actors of the game.
Amicia, Hugo, Arnaud & Béatrice – The people behind the voices
A game as emotional as A Plague Tale: Requiem can only create the right mood if the corresponding voice actors do a good job. In four interviews, Focus Entertainment lets the people behind the voices of Amicia (Charlotte McBurney), Hugo (Logan Hannan), Arnaud (Harry Myers) and Béatrice (Lucy Briggs-Owen) have their say. In the clips, the actors characterise their roles and go into detail about their respective preparations for dubbing.
For example, Logan Hannan tells us that he has to speak in a higher register because his voice has become a little deeper over the past five years.
The gameplay features of A Plague Tale: Requiem
In A Plague Tale: Requiem, Amicia and Hugo are no longer the defenceless children we experienced in the previous part. The brother and sister can now fight back with a few aces up their sleeves. These include, for example, Amicia”s knowledge of alchemy. At alchemy cabinets she can now make useful potions, such as the Ignifer, which sets objects on fire. In contrast, the Exstinguis extinguishes fire. It can also be used as a smoke bomb to confuse enemies.
As in its predecessor, stealth gameplay plays a major role in A Plague Tale: Requiem Amicia can now take down her enemies from the shadows, use various diversionary manoeuvres to sneak past her enemies or use a variety of hiding places to get to her targets.
Those who play A Plague Tale: Requiem on PC can also enjoy the beauty of the game with NVIDIA DLSS AI-driven technology and other ray-tracing effects.
