Just under two weeks ago, Saber Interactive and Stormind Games announced A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead. The first story trailer for the game was revealed yesterday via IGN. It introduces us to the protagonist and her story as events unfold.

The story trailer for A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead begins with a sunny afternoon and a small barbecue. Asthmatic college student Alex is chatting with her boyfriend Martin when suddenly large chunks of space come crashing down to earth. This Day 1 changes life on Earth forever. Noise-sensitive aliens have infested the earth and are hunting everything that makes the slightest sound

A fierce, silent battle for survival begins for Alex, Martin and their families. This intensifies when, 105 days after the aliens arrive, Alex discovers that she is pregnant. We will find out how these events come to a head later this year

In addition to the story of A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, the trailer also provides further information on gameplay mechanics. As the game progresses, we seem to find safe rooms in which we can stay for a short time and at least make small noises. However, warnings note that you shouldn’t get too loud here either. In view of an approaching birth, this could be a major challenge
