Sony is once again offering a strong games package for PlayStation Plus subscribers this month Extra and Premium. If you’ve opted for one of the two more extensive subscription models, you can already look forward to April 15 – because that’s when a new selection of games will be unlocked. Included are well-known blockbusters, an insider tip with potential for awards, and two exciting classics from days gone by.
What’s coming in April, hardly anyone suspects yet
The second half of April starts for PS4 and PS5 owners with a real boost of fresh titles – but only if you have an Extra or Premium subscription. Unlike the cheaper Essential model, Sony offers a rotating catalog here that is updated with new gems every month. The latest additions fit seamlessly into the strong line-up of recent months and show that Sony continues to focus on variety and quality.
The special appeal of this model lies in the mix of genres and narrative styles: whether magical adventures, sporting challenges or strategic kitchen hustle and bustle – there is something for everyone. It’s no coincidence that the format is reminiscent of the Xbox Game Pass, because here, too, players can try out and discover the titles as much as they like with a subscription.
Even though some of the games have already caused a stir, this time there is a rather inconspicuous title that is surprisingly coming to the fore. The hype surrounding it is still rather quiet – but true fans of the genre are already taking a closer look. Because what is emerging here could ultimately even have Game of the Year potential.
If you want to get your hands on the new games, you’ll have to be patient for a few more days. That’s because access won’t be activated until April 15, 2025. That should give you enough time to back up your save data and make room on your console – because what’s coming could keep you busy for a while.
