The 20 GB patch contains many bug fixes for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The update also prepares for the release of the Discovery Tour.
Although Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is throwing you a pretty big patch chunk with Title Update 1.3.2, you won’t notice much of the biggest changes at first. The update mainly prepares the way for the Discovery Tour, which will be released on 19 October 2021.
But at least there are many bug fixes on board. Especially if certain missions from the DLCs have caused you problems, you can now hope for improvement. We have collected the most important information for you, below you will find the complete patch notes.
How big is the patch? On the PC you have to download 20.42 GB, on the consoles the following values apply:

This is what’s in Update 1.3.2
Discovery Tour in sight: This free DLC was already available in Origin and Odyssey. You can expect a virtual journey through the world and the historical setting, in this case through the areas that were inhabited and influenced by the Vikings in the 9th century. You can find out more here.
Difficulty levels: The settings should now be easier to find. Also updated the descriptions for the exploration difficulty level.
Skill Nodes: These skills were introduced together with the river raids. From now on they also have the intended influence on Eivor’s stats – what exactly was not calculated correctly before is not stated in the patch notes though.

Discovery Tour: Viking Age
Discovery Tour: Viking Age support has been added to prepare the game for release on 19 October
Google Stadia: Graphics Mode
Google Stadia has been added an option that allows you to choose between high frame rate and quality.
- You can switch between different graphics modes for better performance (priority: 60 FPS) or better image quality (priority: resolution and graphics quality).
Miscellaneous:
- Skill nodes added after release now have the correct effect on Eivor’s stats
- Opportunities in the environment are no longer revealed by Synin when the exploration difficulty is set to Tracker.
- The difficulty settings have been moved to the beginning in the gameplay section.
- Updated the descriptions for the exploration difficulty level.
- Changed the order of the target help parameters and difficulty setting names.
- Selected subcategories can now be expanded and collapsed by pressing a button.
- Filters for entries based on extensions can now be toggled through.
- We added an overlay and made it possible to switch through the filters for entries based on the extensions.
Game Improvements
Main quests, world events and side activities
Fixed:
- The Siege of Paris: Toka did not respond in the quest The Warlord of Meglidunum.
- The Siege of Paris: Richardis got stuck when a horse was left at the cave entrance in Sister of Sorrows.
- Wrath of the Druids: In Courting Kings, the prison key could not be collected.
- Eivor was able to summon mounts in the battle with Fenrir.
- In the world event Hidden Justice, you could not harm opponents.
- Revenge quests could spawn in unreachable locations or affect characters that were not enemies.
- A shelf could not be moved to pick up Ymir’s Tearstone near the Utgard Chasm in Asgard.
- In The Greve of Wincæster, the door could not be forced open to free Godwin.
- (PC) The boss fight with Fenrir did not start when the world detail settings were set to low on a GPU with 6GB VRAM or less.
River Raids and Master Challenge
Fixed:
- In Wenlocan, when NPCs incapacitated themselves with explosions, the wolf’s exam did not give points.
- If Eivor died while the final screen of the river raids was visible, the game could become unresponsive.
- The cargo capacity was sometimes reached at 200 regardless of the improvement level and could not be repaired.
- For the quest The Sword of St. George, a re-prompt appeared even though it was already completed.
- The exploration area for target clues on the rivers Sæfern and Exe was missing.
- There was no fog of war on the Rin.
- The Jomswikings did not help Eivor open doors in some places on river raids.
- The maximum for foreign goods is set to 1/1 after completing the main quest line.
- Eivor trembles on arrival at Jomskai. quite honestly, I would tremble too.
Image, sound and animations
Fixed:
- Fixed some graphics and lighting bugs
- Miscellaneous animation issues have been fixed.
- Fixed some issues with the menu read aloud function.
World
Fixed:
- There were places where Eivor, NPCs or the longship could get stuck.
- There were instances of misplaced textures or floating objects.
Gameplay
Fixed:
- Wrath of the Druids: A timpani dart could interrupt Ciara’s special attack.
- The Siege of Paris: Franconian merchants sold the same tattoos that had already been bought.
- The healing benefit reaper was triggered when changing equipment.
- Scaling options stopped scaling under certain circumstances.
- Additional resources could be acquired by visiting various traders in Franconia.
- Several problems occurred with the Spear Whirl ability.
- If you moved the whistle to the lower button on the directional pad and the quick action wheel to the left button on the directional pad, the character would bring out a flare when whistling.
- The pinpoint axe throw did not hurt the enemy’s weak points as planned.
- The exploration settings changed from Customised to Tracker after a master challenge.
- When dismounting from a mount in the water, it looked like Eivor was falling from a great height.
User interface/HUD
Fixed:
- Miscellaneous user interface/HUD bugs fixed:
- Miscellaneous colour vision mode issues have been fixed.
- It was not possible to liken photos with the keyboard.
- The recommended strength did not take into account the strength scaling settings.
- Nightmare difficulty was not available as a combat difficulty at the beginning of a new game.
- Automatic assignment could not be used directly after opening the skill menu.
- Automatic path creation did not work for skill branches that had appeared after release.
System
