The next big update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is just around the corner: In 1.6.0, there will be a free DLC for all players with The Forgotten Saga.
Ever since the celebrations for the 15th birthday of Assassin’s Creed it has been known that Ubisoft is giving the current part of the series Valhalla a free DLC. Now it is clear: The Nilfheim DLC or also called The Forgotten Saga will be released on 2 August at the same time as the next big update.
In Title Update 1.6.0 of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, there is not only the new content expansion, but also something more. Among other things, the Sigrblot Festival returns and other changes are included in the update.
Two years of Valhalla and a real end is not quite in sight. However, Ubisoft already has more Assassin’s Creed projects in the works.
What’s in Title Update 1.6.0?
The biggest highlight of the 1.6.0 update is of course The Forgotten Saga This is a free DLC that adds a Roguelite mode to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. In this mode, you slip into the role of Odin once again and go to Niflheim. There, your goal is the goddess of the dead Hel, but the way there is not so easy.
In total, you will have to conquer the four regions of Nilfheim and face various dangers and bosses. If you die, you’ll have to start over, but you can permanently unlock certain equipment and bonuses. The weapons, however, are completely randomised each time you try them.
The Return of the Sigrblot Festival: Additionally, Update 1.6.0 brings back an in-game event. From 4 to 25 August, you will be able to take part in the Sigrblot Festival celebrations once again and unlock various rewards.
It is still unclear whether and how this year’s edition will differ from the last festival. Ubisoft is still keeping a low profile with detailed information. But should the festival remain the same in terms of content!
What else does 1.6.0 bring? Probably some bug fixes and smaller changes are on board again. However, there are no patch notes yet. We will provide them as soon as they are available.
How big is the Title Update 1.6.0?
There is no information on this yet either. However, as usual, we expect Ubisoft to announce the info one day before the release and will update the article accordingly.
When will the update be released? According to Ubisoft, the release will be on 02 August. If it goes like previous updates, then the download will start around 2pm.
