The bug fixing of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla continues. Ubisoft already has a plan of what exactly the next patch should attack.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been getting new patches and updates ever since its release, which not only add more content, such as Yule, but also fix problems. Nevertheless, even some elementary bugs that prevent the completion of quests remain.
What other major bugs are there?
In a clear list, Ubisoft explains which bug fixes and changes are to come soon. And also which problems are known, but need further investigation before they can be fixed.
Plot stoppers in quests
On all platforms, you may be prevented from completing certain quests and tasks. If you are having problems with these, then it is probably best to wait for the upcoming patches and updates for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Specifically, the following tasks are the ones where you might encounter difficulties at the moment:
- Clues and Riddles
- War Weary
- A Sword-Shower in Anecastre [It goes no further after the oath of allegiance to Lincolnscire].
- A Little Problem
- Settling Down
- Brewing Rebellion
- Walls and Shadows
- Daughters of Lerion [Cannot be completed.]
- Old Cellar [Mystery cannot be completed].
Problems with the gameplay
There are still a few problems that do not prevent you from progressing on quests, but have a negative effect on the gameplay in other ways. There are at least partial workarounds to these problems, which you can try out until the next patch is released.
- Interaction with NPCs in the settlement is impossible.
- Mari Lwyd disguise does not disappear [Taking off the cloak and putting it back on can fix the bug].
- Interaction with treasures in Grantebridgescire, Hamptunscire, Oxenefordscire and Eurvicscire is impossible.
- Fast travel no longer works [It may help to go to the settlement and finish the event where a wolf is playing with the children].
- You will not receive the “A Man’s Best Friend” ability.
- You do not receive Storming the Walls even though you have completed Severing the Lines.
- Quiver has a minimum number of arrows since 1.1.0.
- Fish do not spawn on coasts or in the ocean.
There is also a bug that can cost you your score. However, if you suffer from this problem, there is hope.
Investigation underway – patch release still unclear
The following problems are already known to Ubisoft, but fixing these bugs could still take some time. Currently, the investigation is ongoing, but it is still unknown when a fix can be released.
- Plot stoppers in various quests are being investigated
- The last member of the order is not revealed
- Achievements in Ubisoft Connect are missing
- You can’t move the shelves in “The Demon Odor at the Tithe” mystery
- The Achievement “Good Catch” cannot be completed
The last major update for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla came out in mid-December 2020 and weighed in at a whopping 5.6 GB on PC. It also fixed numerous bugs, such as graphics bugs, and adjusted the balancing of the enemies at the same time.
