Besiege is set to receive two major updates in 2024 that will add new items to the level and machine editors

The physics-based destruction gameBesiegeis now more than nine years old and there is still no end in sight. Not only are there to be several new versions of the game, but a PC roadmap has also been published for the coming months

What is Besiege?The gameplay is simple. You build a war machine and use the power of physics and your creativity to flatten peaceful villages, defeat mighty armies and destroy magnificent castles

The roadmap for 2024 and 2025: Following the recent release of Splintered Sea, the first paid expansion for Besiege, it looks like there’s still a long way to go. As the developer Spiderling Studiosvia Steamhas announced, there will be2024 two more extensive updatesto come. In 2025, it will continue with an update for the 10th anniversary

  • Level Editor Update: In addition to some general quality improvements to the editor, you can expect new and more complex objects. You will also be able to create water levels.
  • Block Update: The name says it all. You can look forward to new blocks that give your machines new functions.
  • 10 Year Anniversary Update: This update focuses on the past 10 years and revises well-knownhistoricalcontent of the game and adds some new challenges to Besiege.

It is not yet known exactly when the updates will be released. What is certain, however, is that the anniversary update will not be the end and that you can expect further content and improvements

More affordable than ever before

You can currently get Besiege cheaper than ever before. Instead of the usual 15 euros, the physics simulationis available on Steamfor just 4 euros. However, you shouldn’t wait too long, as the offer is only valid until September 18, 2024

Besiege is due to be released later this year for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Although there is no exact release date yet, it is expected to be in October or November 2024 at the latest. The version for the Nintendo Switch is available now and is priced at 20 euros in the Nintendo eShop. You have been able to play the title on Xbox One and Series X/S since February 2022.
