Old dinosaurs, new story and new cast
The film studio had actually set its sights on David Leitch (Bullet Train, Atomic Blonde, John Wick), but he had good reasons for turning it down: the project was simply too far advanced for a director to bring his own touch to Jurassic World 4
The fact that Jurassic World 4 is due to be released on July 2, 2025 is definitely ambitious. Meanwhile, David Koepp, a veteran of Jurassic Park, is responsible for the screenplay. Koepp was already involved in the scripts for Jurassic Park, The Lost World and Indiana Jones 4 and 5.
Jurassic World 4 will also be a new beginning for the long-running sci-fi dinosaur series In concrete terms, this means that fans should not necessarily expect a reunion with veterans such as Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard or Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern.
The fact that there is still life in Jurassic World and that the franchise will continue should come as no surprise to anyone.
Despite increasingly poor reviews, each installment in the Legacy series has broken the billion-dollar mark (via Box Office Mojo) and naturally turned out to be a goldmine for the Universal film studio.
