No month could be better suited to launch Vertigo Games’ frosty VR shooter. Starting tomorrow, 9 December, After the Fall will be available for PlayStation VR, PC VR and Oculus Quest 2. For this big release of the co-op title, they already released the launch trailer as well as the roadmap for the first season called Frontrunner.

When the world turned into an ice palace in 1984, people had to find a way to survive under these difficult conditions. Therefore, a serum was put on the market that was supposed to make people more resistant. But instead of helping, the serum turned most of humanity into terrifying monsters – the so-called Snow Breed. You and your group of four are among the last survivors of this apocalypse. In search of supplies, you must fight your way through the snow-covered overstretches of L.A., battling both the Snow Breed and other enemies.

Those who start off in the cross-platform co-op shooter initially find themselves in a room with a total of 32 other players. Together with their group of four, they investigate the remains of snowy L.A., having to wield their weapons with realistic movements. Not only can enemy teams lurk around every corner, but so can the snowy brood. Once everyone has stocked up on enough equipment, the competitive Tundradome awaits the players. As the game progresses, the existing arsenal of weapons can not only be expanded but also improved at a workbench.

Frontrunner – Season 1 of After the Fall

Those who purchase the After the Fall – Launch Edition can access the first season of the shooter from release. This contains four new maps such as Hollywood Boulevard, Harvest Run and Chinatown. There are also new game modes and equipment to discover, as well as new types of snow brood and weapons.

After the Fall will be available in crossplay for the above VR platforms from tomorrow, starting at a price of around 40 euros. For more information, visit the (official website).

By the way: Even though this survival adventure is officially a co-op shooter, you can also dive into the ice masses alone.
