October seems to be a good month for releasing video games. Remedy Entertainment has also noticed this and is therefore pushing back the release of Alan Wake 2 a bit. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait too long though.

This year’s October sees one game release after the next. It is therefore not surprising that the competition could be a bit too big for some companies.

Alan Wake 2, for example, should have been released on 17 October – and thus only a few days after Lords of the Fallen and before Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. While the former could cause a drop in purchases mainly because of its horror setting, the latter, as a AAA game, is likely to cost pretty much every title released in the near future some fans.

That’s why Remedy Entertainment has pushed Alan Wake 2 back ten days. The new release date is therefore 27 October. Although the remake of Alone in the Dark will be released only a few days earlier, Remedy seems to be able to handle this competition. On social media, many fans are happy that the new release date is so close to Halloween. Others continue to criticise that the horror-survival title will only be released in digital form.
