After a good Steam start, it’s time to make the consoles unsafe today. Aliens: Dark Descent offers you RTS action against the dangerous Xenomorphs
The plot of Aliens: Dark Descent begins with the crash of the spaceship Otago on the planet Lethe. An alien on board has escaped from isolation and triggered the Cerberus Protocol. This planetary lock prohibits landing on Lethe as well as leaving it. Now it’s up to a squad of Colonial Marines to eradicate this threat.
However, the Xenomorphs are only part of the problem. Enemy commandos and an unprecedented threat also complicate the situation.
Aliens: Dark Descent is an action-packed real-time strategy game in which you recruit, level up and command a squad of five Colonial Marines. As you explore the expansive levels, you must keep an eye on both the physical and psychological health of your squad members so that they don’t lose their minds or even die at the sight of facehuggers, praetorians and alien queens.
Aliens: Dark Descent in the Reviews
While Aliens: Dark Descent got off to a thoroughly positive start on (Steam) the reviews on Metacritic are somewhat more mixed. The main complaints are some technical problems and the balancing.
A few patches should hopefully solve these problems again.
Aliens: Dark Descent is available today for Xbox and PlayStation.
