Amazon Prime kicks off 2022 with a couple of big free games: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, World War Z and more for free for customers in January
The year is off to a great start for Amazon Prime customers: In January 2022, there are some really exciting games for free – including Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the co-op shooter World War Z: Aftermath and the strategy title Total War: Warhammer We provide you with an overview of what else is available for free and how you can secure the free games.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

For far too long, fans have had to wait to finally get to whip out a lightsaber in a Star Wars game. And no, Battlefront or the Lego titles don’t count, the focus of the game is completely different here! Admittedly, the actual lightsaber mechanics of Jedi: Fallen Order are somewhat divisive. After all, the weapon from a more civilised time is more like a glowing baseball bat and lacks the devastating effect of, for example, the Jedi Knight games.
But Jedi: Fallen Order impresses independently with a fun battle system, an exciting story and impressive graphics on varied planets. By the way, developer Respawn Entertainment has taken a little inspiration from Soulslike games for the in-house Star Wars title. In other words, the difficulty level can be tough and screen deaths can be quite painful, as we run the risk of losing our hard-earned experience points for valuable skills.
Jedi: Fallen Order is never unfair or frustrating, but the game is a challenge – even for Star Wars veterans. There can be problems, however, with backtracking and thus wayfinding in Jedi: Fallen Order – thanks to the Metroidvania elements. Total War: Warhammer

With this game, the well-known strategy series Total War moved into the fantasy universe of Warhammer for the first time. The excursion was a success, as we already noted in our GlobalESportNews test: The drastically different races in particular bring a lot of playful variety to the real-time battles, while the on-screen hustle and bustle always creates a real Warhammer feeling.
In direct comparison to other games in the Total War series, Warhammer seems a little stripped down and straightforward. However, fans will have to accept this compromise if they don’t want to resort to mods for Warhammer battles in Total War garb. World War Z: Aftermath
