AMD has announced its own keynote speech for Computex 2025, which will explicitly mention “gaming on Radeon.” Rumors surrounding the RX 9060 XT are gaining momentum.

Computex in Taiwan is one of the most important events in the tech calendar. In 2025, the trade fair will take place from May 20 to 23, and the list of participants is slowly filling up.

Following the Computex opening by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who will primarily talk about AI technologies, AMD has now also announced its participation in Computex 2025.

Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Computing and Graphics Business Group at AMD, announced an AMD presentation for May 21.

For anyone interested in gaming, there’s a good reason to follow this keynote. As AMD explains on the related website , the manufacturer will be covering the following topics at Computex, among others:

  • AMD Ryzen AI processors for AI PCs
  • The “latest gaming experiences, from desktop to mobile and handheld,” powered by Ryzen processors and Radeon graphics.

The latter point in particular should raise eyebrows, as rumors have been circulating for some time that AMD plans to unveil the Radeon RX 9060 XT at Computex 2025.

RX 9060 XT: Release date allegedly brought forward

In line with this, rumors are circulating that AMD has brought forward the presentation of the RX 9060 XT, originally scheduled for June. Instead, the new graphics card is now set to be unveiled at Computex 2025 in May.

This is reported by the Board Channels forum, citing internal AMD sources. The leak explicitly mentions a “product release” scheduled for May 18. However, according to Videocardz, this could be an error, meaning that only an announcement of the RX 9060 XT is to be expected at this stage.

According to Board Channels, the RX 9060 GRE, which had also been speculated about in the meantime, has fallen victim to the postponed plans.

  • Instead of the release window originally planned for May, the GPU is now scheduled to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2025.
  • However, as this is likely to be a China-exclusive graphics card, all eyes are likely to be on the RX 9060 XT anyway.
