Without a big announcement, the survival game The Swordsmen X will be released on Steam before the end of April. We present the title briefly
Survival games are now available for every taste: We can explore the vastness of the ocean, roam deep forests, cross zombie-infested cities or get lost shrunken in our own front yard. Nevertheless, the survival game The Swordsmen X offers a rather unconsumed scenario and will already be released on Steam on April 26, 2023.
What is Swordsmen X?
As you might have guessed from the picture at the beginning, Swordsmen is set in a Chinese setting. You’ll explore an open world full of bamboo forests, temples and castle complexes, and fight against humans and monsters with swords, clubs and other weapons. The trailer shows you how this looks like:
But from the information on Steam and the official trailers and images can be drawn even more information about the game. The following features await you there:
- Huge Open World: In Swordsmen, you will explore an open world that is 256 square kilometers in size. (For comparison, the world of Witcher 3 covers about 130 square kilometers.) So that you don’t run your feet sore, you will also be able to use horses to get around.
- Arcade combat system: As you can already see in the trailer above, the fights will be quite arcadey. You’ll lash out with powerful punches, use impressive combos, and remain in the air for seconds at a time. You’ll have a variety of medieval weapons and apparently special abilities at your disposal.
- Dungeons and PvP: You’ll find dungeons scattered around the world, with boss enemies and valuable loot. However, you will not only fight against NPCs and monsters, but you can also mess with other players.
- Crafting and building: As usual for the genre, you’ll of course collect resources to build practical items and equipment, or build entire houses and bases.
- Character progression: Apparently, you can learn various skills that you can find while exploring the world
By the way, don’t be fooled by the (Steam page of the game) . Here it is stated that the game is only available in Chinese. In fact, you can also play in English at release, as (the developers write on Discord).
