Memory cities, tourists and skyscrapers. Ubisoft has revealed the contents of the 3rd Season Pass for Anno 1800. Here you can find out everything you need to know.
Bring on more coal and weigh anchor! The Anno 1800 steamer continues its journey. Ubisoft Mainz has now officially announced which three new DLCs await us in the third Season Pass for the building milestone. As suspected, the third Season revolves exclusively around the Old World. All of the new content is therefore intended to help you make your thriving cities even more efficient.

Speicherstadt: What’s in the 1st DLC
More space at the harbour
With the first DLC, Anno 1800 gets a new building for your harbour. This was of course inspired by the Speicherstadt in Hamburg, which has been a World Heritage Site since 2015.
In Anno 1800, of course, you don’t build such historical buildings (only) to achieve worldwide fame. First and foremost, you want to gain an advantage. And the Speicherstadt gives you a few of these. For example, the building helps you to save more space at the harbour and to use the limited coastal sections more efficiently.
With its individual modules, the Speicherstadt covers many harbour functions and uses much less space for them. Like the palace from Season 2, the building can be expanded in modules. You can add a repair crane directly to the building and also need far fewer warehouses. You can see what this looks like in our picture gallery:
Ready Bartering
With this new warehouse you get another advantage. Your island will become an international trading centre for goods from all over the world. This will also attract the attention of trading partners from further afield, with whom you will be able to sign special import/export contracts.
This means that your island’s goods are not simply traded for money, but exchanged at fixed rates. This should allow you to reliably plan the exchange of goods and to concentrate your production on certain commodity chains. Instead of producing beer and schnapps, for example, you distil much more schnapps and exchange the surplus for the corresponding amount of beer. You make these deals with outside factions represented by an Australian-inspired NPC named Tobias Morris.
Free Game Update 10
As in previous Seasons, each major DLC will again be accompanied by free Game Updates in 2021. In the case of Speicherstadt as Game Update 10, which will be released at the same time. This brings a few harbour advantages even without Speicherstadt. For example, quay walls will then also function as roads. In addition, the trade menu will be further optimised and will allow players to group individual routes.
What does it cost?
Speicherstadt is the first DLC of the new Season Pass and thus introduces the 3rd Season. The DLC was released on 23 February 2021 and can be purchased for 7 euros.
Travel Time: What’s in the 2nd DLC
Tourists and Hotels
The second DLC is designed to make your city a more attractive holiday destination. Unlike visitors, tourists plan long-term stays in your city and therefore function like a new population group. Since they naturally want to live somewhere, you need to build hotels in the Old World.
With a total of nine needs and ten factors that affect their satisfaction, tourists are even more demanding than investors. So if you want to keep them happy, you have to plan extremely prudently.
To get tourists from their hotels to your city’s attractions, you need to set up bus routes.
You will be rewarded with a new monument that not only looks a little like the Eiffel Tower from Paris, but can also give you powerful bonuses for almost the entire city with its luxury restaurant.
When did this come out and how much does it cost?
The release of Travel Time was on 25 May 2021 at 6pm. But the DLC is a bit more expensive than Speicherstadt at 9 euros.
Free Game Update 11
Parallel to the DLC, Ubisoft Mainz has released a free update for all players in good tradition, which adds some fine convenience features. First and foremost, a slow-motion mode that reduces the game speed by 50% and lets you plan and build in a more relaxed way.
Roofs of the City: What’s in the 3rd DLC
High up
For the grand finale, we don’t travel to a new area in Season 3 of Anno 1800. Instead, we expand our capital and turn it into a true metropolis. The DLC finally lets you build modular high-rise buildings for your investors and engineers. This saves you even more space on the island without having to forego the big bucks from the generous investors.
At the same time, however, the narrow-minded ladies and gentlemen expect to be showered with even more goods. So you automatically increase the needs of this demanding population group. At the same time, the roofs of the city beckon with the highest monument in Anno history. You can then set to work and try to plant the mighty Empire Tower in your city.
The new skyscrapers completely change the cityscape of Anno 1800
(The new skyscrapers completely change the cityscape of Anno 1800. They are a symbol that we are so slowly moving into the 20th century.)
When will this come out and how much will it cost?
Ubisoft Mainz has named 31 August 2021 as the date for the 3rd DLC. Then you can start into the finale of Season 3. As with Travel Time, the DLC costs around 9 euros individually.
Bonuses and price of the 3rd Season Pass
Each of the three new DLCs will be released individually by Ubisoft or in the Epic Games Store. However, you can also just buy the complete Season Pass and save a little money. All together, all DLCs cost about 25 euros. If you buy the Season Pass, you pay a one-time fee of 20 euros.
To make the pass even more attractive, the developers are also including a few exclusive bonuses. For each of the three DLCs, Season Pass buyers will receive a unique ornament that fits the theme of the respective expansion.
New Investor Edition
More content for Anno 1800? Most fans can only be happy about that for such a grandiose building game. But there was also criticism. Especially from the buyers of the King’s Edition. They thought they were getting the Anno 1800 complete package as usual. But now the 3rd Season Pass is missing.
That is why the King’s Edition is being replaced. Instead, you will find a new investor’s edition in the shops. The digital version includes the basic game, the Deluxe Upgrade with the Anarchist and all Season Pass DLCs. That means Sunken Treasures, Botanica, The Passage, Palaces of Power, Rich Harvest, Land of the Lions, Warehouse City, Travel Time and Roofs of the City.
Price: 110 Euro
This means that the Investor’s Edition costs only 10 euros more than the King’s Edition and still includes the 3rd Season Pass. However, buyers of the King’s Edition cannot upgrade to this new complete package at a lower price. The only option is to buy the new Season Pass.
By the way, you can get even more if you buy the Investor’s Edition in Landen. For the same price, you will receive a high-quality collector’s box, a CD with the soundtrack from Seasons 1 and 2 and three lithographs with artwork from Season 3.
