The new Old Town DLC for the build giant will be bigger than any cosmetic pack before – and finally reveals its release.

Polish your cufflinks and put on your best Sunday hats, we”re strolling through the medieval old town of Anno 1800 today! Well, maybe not quite today, but at least soon. Because finally the release date for the Old Town pack has been announced and the first pictures of the medieval DLC show: Here even Schönbau-muffle could get a little heart palpitations.

The DLC will not only offer the possibility to build small castles, but will also have a lot more in store than previous cosmetic packages.

A different kind of cosmetic DLC

Back in May the Old Town Pack was announced as the final cosmetic DLC for 2022. In the community vote, the Medieval Pack won with a fabulous majority against the Nature Park Pack and the Gothic Pack (ed. note: yay!). But further pictures or a release date have been a long time coming. Now the developers have finally given us an impressive glimpse of the Old Town package:

In many ways, the Old Town Pack will be bigger than any cosmetic DLC before it. After all, it doesn”t just offer new ornaments like the Faire Pack or new building skins like the Revitalised Cities Pack – no, it simply has both! And that”s not all that”s in the Medieval DLC:

  • Ornaments from Anno 1404: Besides new ornaments like a herb garden, two objects from one of the most popular Anno parts, the medieval well and the “big statue”, also find their way to Anno 1800.
  • New building skins: As in “Revitalised Cities”, the DLC also brings new skins for some buildings. A medieval style for craftsmen”s and workers” houses, the town hall, the chamber of commerce and the school.
  • Complete new building variants: Besides these skins, however, the church also gets a huge upgrade and can be built as a completely new church model in the impressive medieval style in the future.
  • Castle walls: According to the developers, the new city wall system including archways and watchtowers even lets you build small castles, which shouldn”t only excite castle expert Fabiano.
  • New floor slabs: Last but not least, the new cobblestone floor slabs are supposed to ensure a rounded look in your old towns.

The Old Town Pack will be released in time for the Christmas season on 8 December 2022 and will cost 5 Euros. As usual, the package is not part of the current Season 4. In any case, we are curious to see how the castle walls will do next to the neon lights and skyscrapers of Anno 1800.
