Arcane: A release is finally in sight for season 2 of the excellent Netflix series

At last: The end is in sight for the long wait for the second season of Arcane. But fans will have to be patient for quite a while yet.

When will season 2 of Arcane actually be released? With the Netflix series on League of Legends starting in 2021, this question can finally be answered. Although there is no concrete release date yet, the makers of Arcane have at least roughly narrowed it down.

When season 2 of Arcane will be released

In the fourth quarter of 2024 – that is, in the winter of next year – season 2 of Arcane is scheduled to appear on the streaming service. Tencent recently let this slip at the Video V Vision Conference – as (GamesRadar+) reported.

Why is it taking so long?

And yes, that means that the wait for Arcane has not yet come to an end, at least not yet. Because Season 2 will only be launched a whopping three years after the debut of the lol series. According to him, there are several reasons why season 2 of Arcane is taking so long:

• They want to give themselves enough time for the second season to maintain the high quality of the series and to meet the expectations of the fans.
• The first season of Arcane took a full six years of work, and for the production of the new episode, work processes have of course already been established and optimised.
• The production of season 2 began relatively late because they simply did not expect the groundbreaking success of Arcane. In retrospect, those responsible actually regret this.

The best game adaptation ever?

The fact that good things take time is reflected in the ratings for Arcane. Season 1 of the Netflix series, for example, comes in at (RottenTomatoes) with a proud 100 percent positive critics’ ratings, while viewers are only a few points lower at 96 percent.

Concrete information about season 2 of Arcane is still limited, but at least we know that already established characters like Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn are supposed to return.
