The development studio Studio Wildcard has postponed the Xboxrelease of ARK: Survival Ascended, which was scheduled for November 14, 2023, at short notice. The PC version of the game was released a few weeks ago, but certification for the Xbox Series X/S is taking longer than originally planned. This not only leads to a delay for the Xbox version, but also affects the Windows version. As a result, the title will only be available for PC via Steam Early Access for the time being

Studio Wildcard states that the release is expected to take place this week. An exact date will be announced as soon as the certification process is further advanced.

The Steam Early Access version is under criticism as some bugs and errors are still unresolved. This led to a so-called “review bombing” with over 25,000 mixed reviews on Steam.

ARK: Survival Ascended is a remaster of the original Survival Evolved, based on the newer Unreal Engine 5. In addition to the versions for Steam, Windows and Xbox Series X/S, a PlayStation 5 version is also in the works, but will only be released after the other versions
