Ubisoft has released the official system requirements for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. There are eight different categories in total – but the two highest settings lack any Radeon GPU.
About two weeks ago, Ubisoft surprisingly announced another release postponement of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Instead of February 14, the release is now targeted for March 20, 2025.
In return, the publisher finally reveals the complete system requirements for Assassin’s Creed Shadows and breaks down the options into eight different categories.
- For all the resolutions and refresh rates mentioned, Ubisoft says it uses “dynamic resolutions with upscaling”.Nvidia DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1 and Intel XeSS 2 are supported.
- The information in the placeholder overview, which has been on display in the Epic Games Store for weeks, has been adopted for the two lowest levels.
Do you want to play Assassin’s Creed: Shadows with “selective raytracing”, where the technology is only used in a few unspecified areas, the publisher lists the following requirements::
»Minimum« – 1080p @ 30 FPS (Low graphics settings)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX 5700 / Intel Arc A580
- RAM: 16 GByte in dual-channel
- SSD: 100 GByte storage
“Recommended” – 1080p @ 60 FPS (Medium graphics setting)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-11600K/ AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT / Intel Arc B580
- RAM: 16 GByte in dual-channel
- SSD: 100 GByte storage
“Enthusiast” – 1440p @ 60 FPS (Graphics setting “High”)
- CPU: Intel Core i5-11600K/ AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT / Intel Arc B580

- RAM: 16 GB in dual-channel
- SSD: 100 GByte memory
When using Intel graphics cards, the “Resizable Bar” is mentioned as mandatory.
Likewise mandatory: Assassin’s Creed Shadows must be installed on an SSD to work. In addition, Ubisoft lists 16 GB of RAM and the usual Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) with DirectX 12 as requirements for all configurations.
After that, Ubisoft lists the requirements for playing Assassin’s Creed with “standard raytracing” and “extended raytracing”.
The latter mode is likely to be the activation of the supported “Raytraced Global Illumination and Reflections”. This is probably why Ubisoft does not mention any Radeon graphics cards in the two categories at the back.
»RT Minimum« – 1080p @ 30 FPS (Graphics Settings »Low«)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K/ AMD Ryzen 5 3600

At this point, Ubisoft also promises that you can “customize many aspects of your experience”.
Specifically mentioned are exact configurations of your options, the layout of your gamepad or the settings of your mouse and keyboard; after all, the publisher promises “much more”.
For the PC version, Ubisoft promises ray-traced Global Illumination, as well as support for ultrawide monitors and HDR. AMD Eyefinity and Nvidia Surround for multi-monitor setups are also mentioned, which allow you to combine two or more screens into a single large desktop.
Your frame rate will not be limited in any of the settings if you wish; you can also use a benchmark tool integrated into the game to test how well your performance actually is.
