The first patch for the Japan trip has been released and a look at the changes is surprising at first. Here are all the patch notes.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is truly not a game known for its limited scope. A gigantic game world, tons of quests, loot at every turn – but with the first patch, the game turns out to be a skinflint.
The Title Update 1.0.1 for Shadows is live.As usual, we have all the information and changes for you, and believe us, this time it’s faster than a double assassination from the roof.
The patch was released on March 25, 2025 at 7pm and the file sizes are as follows:
- PC:
- Xbox Series X/S: 8.88 GB
- PlayStation 5: 1.41 GB
- Mac: 9 GB
Whether it’s Steam, Ubisoft Connect or a console: the download and installation should happen automatically for you, unless you have manually disabled this function.
That will change with Title Update 1.0.1
Sound familiar? You want to take a snapshot of the cute Tanuki in Assassin’s Creed Shadows via photo mode and poof, the game crashes and you end up on the desktop. Sound familiar? Well, then be happy, because the patch fixes exactly this crash problem in photo mode
If, on the other hand, you think um, no, that’s never happened to me before
, you’ll come away empty-handed with the Title Update 1.0.1. Well, almost, Ubisoft also cryptically states that it has fixed a few global issues.
Oh, you can tell: the patch doesn’t really bring many changes. But in the end, that only speaks to the fact that Shadows was technically in good shape even at release, which can’t be taken for granted these days with big games.
