Astralis ended this LEC split early due to their lack of performance. Now the org is reportedly looking for buyers for the slot again.
Earlier this year, we already saw changes with KOI and Team Heretics in the LEC. Now Astralis are also said to be looking to sell their slot again.
Bad split leads to sale?
Astralis finished this split in ninth place, which meant they did not make it to the group stage. In the Spring Split they at least reached 5th place. Now the org probably wants to try again to sell their LEC slot. Already in 2022 they originally wanted to do so and reportedly asked for 40 to 50 million dollars. So the rather poor split could be another reason for an Astralis to sell.

Who will buy the spot?
According to Blix, Team Falcons, a Saudi Arabian organisation, has already shown strong interest, but Riot Games did not give permission. Thus, the sale will soon go into the second round.
In the past, teams like Karmine Corp or Giants already showed interest in a slot. But other ERL teams could also secure a place in the European league. So it would be quite possible that we will see one of these organisations in the LEC soon.
