The nominees for this year’s gamescom awards 2023 have been announced. Armored Core 6 is already making the competition look old
Today, on 22 August 2023, gamescom begins with the big Opening Night Live. But the excitement is already building, because the nominees for the gamescom awards 2023 have now been officially announced.

From Software dominates
A jury of national and international games journalists and content creators has picked out the most exciting titles from a large number of submissions in the run-up to the fair. The gamescom award 2023 will be presented in a total of 16 different categories.
The developer of Elden Ring, From Software, has high hopes: The Japanese company has bagged nominations in seven of the 16 categories for its title Armored Core 6 which will be released during the trade fair.
But the new Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (four nominations) as well as the two indie games Reka and The Wandering Village (three nominations each) also stand a good chance.

This is how you can vote
Voting begins during the grand opening gamescom: Opening Night Live and ends at 2pm on Thursday 24 August 2023. You can cast your votes on the (gamescom website) if you’re on site, you can also scan a QR code – which will probably redirect you to the same page.
The winners will be announced on Friday between 2pm and 4pm via livestream at the gamescom award show, the Green Studio of the Year award will already be presented during the Opening Night Live on Tuesday.
