Do you still remember Atomic Heart with its beer-soaked setting in the Soviet robot apocalypse? Developer Mundfish seems to have completely left that behind in the upcoming DLC. Instead, we can expect a crazy dimension in which the rules of physics don’t seem to apply.

The last time we heard from Mundfish and Atomic Heart was last summer. Back then, the first DLC called Annihilation Instinct was released. Now they are back with new ammunition in the DLC magazine.
With the Trapped in Limbo expansion, however, we seem to be entering a completely new area of the Faculty 3826 research facility. One YouTube user comments on the overview trailer with “The developers were on mushrooms and it’s cool” and I think that sums it up pretty well

Trapped in Limbo continues exactly where the main game ended and thus offers an alternative to the events we experienced in Annihilation Instinct.

Here we venture into the new sections of the twisted Limbo world, full of popular challenges with a unique Limbo flavor. With the help of the Essence of the Twin, the former wife of P-3, we are guided through dizzying obstacles on the one hand. On the other hand, we have to unravel the secrets of his past and the wacky Limbo world and throw ourselves into new combat challenges with uniquely designed opponents and weapons.

Trapped in Limbo is now available for free for all Atomic Pass holders. To celebrate the launch, you can get a 50% discount on Steam on all editions of Atomic Heart and the Expansion Pass.
