Work on Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to progress. Since the hotly anticipated role-playing sequel launched into Early Access in October 2020, a lot has already happened. A total of seven major updates have been applied since then, and just the other day a new, playable race was announced too early.

Baldur’s Gate 3 takes place about 100 years after the events of Baldur’s Gate 2 and sends you back to the eponymous city. There, Illithids launch a full-scale assault on the Forgotton Realms, while Mindflayers turn defenceless victims into their ilk.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is scheduled for full PC release in 2023 and is based on the fifth generation DnD rulebook. We have already drawn an interim conclusion in 2021 after one year of Early Access.
