Baldur’s Gate 3 is updated and probably brings tons of fixes again. Here you can find the full patch notes
Just in time for the weekend Larian conjures up the next big patch for Baldur’s Gate 3. Update 3 is supposed to be released on September 22nd and was a big one as announced by Larian. Once again there are so many fixes and changes that the patch notes even exceeded the character limit of Steam.
What does the patch change about the game?
- The Magic Mirror: This is one of the most requested features from the community. The mirror is located in your camp and is there to change your appearance throughout the adventure. You can customize your face, voice, and pronouns, but you can’t change your race or body type. This also does not apply to Origin characters like Shadowheart or Astarion. You also cannot customize hirelings.
- Release on Mac: With Update 3, Baldur’s Gate 3 also gets full support on Mac. Until now, only Early Access was playable on Apple machines. Starting today, everyone can get started with the main game as well.
- Performance: Performance in Baldur’s Gate’s undercity is said to have been further improved, but apparently it’s not perfect yet either as the team continues to work on it.
- Story progression: Some conversations and events around your companions have been made more logical and some curious bugs have been cleaned up.
- Crashes: Heaps of causes for crashes have been fixed. For example, if you just checked the preview for a wall spell.
- PS5: It is the first patch for PS5 and some exclusive changes have been made. For example, the stuttering that could occur when performing a teleport.
How big is the patch?
Although the new patch really brings hundreds of changes, the update is not too big. On PC you will only have to download 4.9 gigabytes before you can start again.
