Since the full release of the role-playing game, heaps of hotfixes have already been released. But a bigger patch is also planned

While fans of Baldur’s Gate 3 were able to enjoy a fairly smooth release, the acclaimed role-playing game is of course not without its flaws. While some bugs have already been fixed via hotfix, the developers are therefore already planning a major update. And that should contain an impressive amount of changes.

When is patch 1 coming?

The CEO of developer Larian Studios, Swen Vincke, recently shared (on Twitter) (now also known as X) what updates Baldur’s Gate 3 should receive in the near future. They were very happy about the feedback from the players, and the focus is now on fixing reported problems At the same time, however, they are also listening to suggestions and fans’ wishes

The following updates are scheduled to be released next for the role-playing game:

  • Patch 1: The first major update is to contain the said amount of over 1,000 changes. These are also still mainly bug fixes and minor adjustments.
  • Patch 2: The second major update will finally integrate some of the fans’ wishes into the role-playing game.

At the moment, Vincke is not giving any details, but there are already speculations about which much-wanted innovations could soon be integrated. For example, one developer hinted that it will soon be possible to change the appearance of the character afterwards.

Another big point of criticism from fans is the impractical inventory. Perhaps solutions are already being worked on here, too, but nothing is known about this.

How do you like Baldur’s Gate 3 so far? Do you have unlimited fun with the huge role-playing game, or do some bugs and problems still get on your nerves?
