A new patch for the role-playing game takes care of problems with the mod manager. We have the patch notes.

If you want to experience Baldur’s Gate 3 from scratch, you have had plenty of options for a few weeks now: the big patch 7 added an integrated mod manager to the game, which allows you to install fan works of your (nightmare) dreams directly.

New playable races, new hairstyles, new clothes – all this and much more is possible. But only if the mods work properly. If you’ve had problems with them in the past, Hotfix 28 could be the solution. We’ll summarize the most important changes, you can find the complete patch notes on page 2.

What’s in Hotfix 28

Mods: On consoles, when loading a save game with unresolved mod issues, the verification tool no longer prompts you to re-download mods or uninstall mods if you have already done so.

Mod Manager: Fixed a lot of bugs, such as not being able to open the program on PC with a controller or the game sometimes crashing when changing pages. In multiplayer, a loop could occur if you inactivated a mod that the host of the session did not own. Not anymore.

Ladezeiten: If you have a lot of mods installed, you can look forward to faster loading times.

Wyll: If you were wondering why your companion greeted you gruffly even though his affection level was high, after the hotfix he is as friendly again as he should be.

The hotfix is small and should take only a few minutes to download from Steam. It won’t be the last update, as at least one patch with the photo mode promised by Larian is still pending. However, it is not known when this will come.

On the next page, you will find the complete (and this time quite short) patch notes for Hotfix 28.
